Security Risks

The Security Risks window lets you view different types of Risk Signatures and lets you add them to Signature Exclusions. If you think a type of risk signature is safe and you want to exclude it from Norton scans, you can add it to Signature Exclusions.

You should exclude signatures only if you are sure that signatures will not harm your computer.

Add a Security Risk to Signature Exclusions

  1. Start Norton.

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton main window, click Settings.

  3. In the Settings window, click Antivirus.

  4. In the Antivirus settings window, click the Scans and Risks tab.

  5. Under Exclusions / Low Risks, in the Signatures to Exclude from All Detections row, click Configure.

  6. In the Signature Exclusions window, click Add.

  7. Use the drop-down list to find the risk signature.

  8. Select the risk signature that you trust, click Add.
