Delete your Norton Password Manager vault

You can delete your vault from the Norton Password Manager browser extension. When you delete a vault, all of the Password Manager data that are stored in the vault is permanently removed. If you think that you may use your vault data at a later time, do not delete your vault.

I remember my vault password

  1. Open your browser.

  2. Click Norton Password Manager on the top-right corner of the browser.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • If you have signed in to your Norton account

      • In the pop-up screen that appears, click Unlock vault.

    • If you have not signed in to your Norton account

      • In the pop-up screen that appears, click Sign In and sign in to your account

  4. Do one of the following:

    • If you have set up Passwordless Vault Unlock, click Approve on your mobile device to log in to your Norton Password Manager vault.

    • If you have not set up Passwordless Vault Unlock, click Use Your Vault Password on your Norton Password Manager browser extension.

  5. In the Unlock your vault window, type your vault password and click Unlock.

  6. Click the Norton Password Manager extension icon and click Open Web App.

  7. In the Password Manager window, click Settings.
  8. In the Settings window, under My Data, click Delete Norton Password Manager vault.

  9. Sign in to your account, if prompted.

  10. In the Delete my Password Manager vault page, click Yes, Delete vault.

I do not remember my vault password

  1. Open your browser.

  2. Click Norton Password Manager on the top-right corner of the browser.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • If you have signed in to your Norton account

      • In the pop-up screen that appears, click Unlock vault.

    • If you have not signed in to your Norton account

      • In the pop-up screen that appears, click Sign In and sign in to your account

  4. In the screen that appears, click Use your vault password.

  5. In the Unlock your vault window, type an incorrect vault password and click Unlock.

  6. Repeat the above step for three times.

    After three attempts, the Need to delete your vault? option appears.

  7. Click Need to delete your vault? and sign in to your account
  8. In the Delete my Password Manager vault page, click Yes, Delete vault.
