Get started with Norton Password Manager

Norton Password Manager helps you access, manage, and secure your passwords and personal information that you rely on for your online activities. Norton Password Manager keeps your passwords synchronized across different browsers and mobile devices.

  • Passwordless Vault Unlock: The Passwordless Vault Unlock feature lets you unlock your Password Manager vault using a desktop browser by approving a notification on your mobile device instead of manually entering your vault password.

  • Safety Dashboard: The Safety Dashboard feature displays the health of the logins and passwords that are stored in the cloud vault. It lets you increase the strength of your passwords to improve your safety score and reduce the risks associated with online safety.

  • Password Generator: You can quickly generate strong passwords automatically with different combination of numbers and characters. On supported websites, the password generator can be launched while changing your password.

  • Autochange Password: Autochange Password works by directly logging into the websites and generating a strong password on your behalf. The newly generated passwords are saved in your Norton Password Manager vault, for which only you have access to.

Set up Norton Password Manager

  1. Download and install the Norton Password Manager extension.

  2. On the top-right corner of the browser, click the Norton Password Manager button.

  3. In the Norton Password Manager screen, click Sign In.

  4. In the Create your vault password screen, click Create.

  5. In the Set Norton as your default password manager screen, click Set as default.

  6. In the PIN Norton Password Manager extension screen, click Finish.

Import logins from an existing password manager

Norton Password Manager vault extension can import saved logins from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Dashlane, 1Password, and LastPass. For more information read, Import logins to Norton Password Manager vault.

Install Norton Password Manager on your other devices

You can install Norton Password Manager on your mobile devices to easily access the logins when browsing your mobile devices.

As Norton does not know your vault password and therefore does not have access to your data, there is no possibility to restore access if you forgot your vault password. If you are still logged in on your mobile device and have fingerprint, Touch ID, or Face ID activated you can set a new vaultpPassword on your mobile without losing your data. Norton Password Manager lets you reset your vault password from your mobile device only.
