FAQ: Financial Monitoring

What is Financial Monitoring?

Financial Monitoring is the feature that allows you to receive alerts notifying you of cash withdrawals, balance transfers, recurring transactions, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) and large purchases on financial institution accounts that you connect to your Norton account.

How do I add a Financial Institution for Transaction Monitoring?

To add your bank to your account:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Financial Monitoring tab and then click Add Account.
  3. Search for your financial institution if it is not listed under the most popular ones.
  4. Enter your login credentials to allow access to your financial accounts and follow the on-screen instructions.

What financial institutions do you support?

We support most financial institutions, but our network does not have 100% coverage of all financial institutions.

What type of financial accounts do you support?

The types of financial accounts we support are:

  • Checking and Saving accounts
  • Mortgage
  • Credit cards
  • Investments
  • Loans

How do I dispute a transaction?

If the transaction was not completed by you, contact your financial institution. You will need to check immediately as some financial institutions have a limit on the number of days you have to dispute transactions. If the bank holds you responsible, call us and we will investigate.

How frequently do I receive transaction alerts?

  • Frequently changing finance accounts (bank, card, investments) are refreshed daily.
  • Low-frequency finance accounts (loan, mortgage, insurance, bills) and non-finance accounts are refreshed weekly.

What are the types of transaction alerts?

We alert you on various transactions - Recurring Debits, Withdrawals, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), and Fund Transfers.

You will receive alerts that are only debited from your bank accounts. Credits received or payments made to your credit cards will not show up as an alert.
