Norton Utilities Premium is not available in the Nordic region.
When you delete a file in Windows, it is not completely erased. The file or contents of the file can be easily recovered and viewed. You need to shred the files to erase the file remnants and tracks that left by deleted files.
Using the Desktop File Shredder feature in Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate, you can permanently and securely shred files and folders.
Open Norton Utilities product.
On the left pane, click Toolbox > Protect.
In the Protect window, click Install desktop File Shredder.
Once installed, the Desktop File Shredder is integrated with Windows and the File Shredder icon is displayed on your desktop.
Open Norton Utilities product.
On the left pane, click Toolbox > Protect.
In the Protect window, click View files within File Shredder.
A standard Windows Explorer window displays the contents available in the File Shredder.
The View files within File Shredder option is available only when the Desktop File Shredder is enabled.
The Send to File Shredder option is available only when Add Send to File Shredder to right-click check box is selected in the File Shredder settings window.
Launch File Shredder from the desktop.
In the File Shredder folder, right-click on the item that you want to shred and click Shred.
In the confirmation window, click Yes.
