Symantec products are designed and tested to meet worldwide the appropriate standards for product safety, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental sustainability and other compulsory regulatory requirements, when used for their intended purpose and in intended markets.

Product safety

Product users should read and be familiar with all product safety information applicable to the use of their equipment.

  • Keep the device away from water, fire, humidity, or hot environments.

  • Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the device.

  • The device can be used in locations with an ambient temperature of 0°C/32°F to 35°C/95°F and a relative humidity (no condensation) of 20% to 80%. Using the device outside of the recommended ranges may damage the device.

  • The device can be stored in locations with an ambient temperature of -25°C/-13°F to 55°C/131°F.

  • Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE): Ensure that at least 31 cm of separation distance is maintained between the wireless device and the body of the user.

  • Power adapter should be installed near the equipment and should be easily accessible.

  • Do not use a damaged power adapter with the device. Continued use of damaged equipment may lead to electric shocks, short circuits, or fire.

  • Do not touch the power adapter with wet hands. Doing so may lead to short circuits, malfunctions, or electric shocks.

  • Using an unapproved or incompatible power adapter may cause fire, explosion, or other hazards.

FCC statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

FCC caution

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This device is going to be operated in 5.15-5.25 GHz frequency range. It is restricted to indoor environment only.

FCC radiation exposure statement

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 31 cm between the radiator and your body.
