Activate your Norton subscription

You must activate your subscription before the end of the trial or subscription period to continue using all Norton features and protect your computer.

If you purchased a product from a retail store, you need to create a Norton account or add the purchased product to your existing account. For detailed steps, read Download your Norton product purchased from a retail store.

Windows and Mac

  1. Open your Norton device security.
  2. Click Activate Now or Subscribe.
  3. Sign in to your Norton account and follow the steps below based on your activation method. 
    • Select the license: If you already have a valid subscription in your account, the details will be listed with the expiration date. Select the subscription and click Next
    • Enter a key: If you have purchased a new product key, click Enter a Key or PIN. Enter your 25-character product key and click Next
    • Buy a subscription: If you do not have an existing subscription, click Buy a subscription and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase. 


  1. Open the Norton 360 application on your mobile device. 
  2. Tap Sign in and sign in with your Norton account credentials.
  3. From the list of active subscriptions, select the subscription you want to use and then tap Next


  1. Open the Norton 360 application on your mobile device. 
  2. Tap Redeem a subscription.
  3. Select an option based on how you purchased the product. 
    • Sign in with Norton account 
    • Restore from App Store
    • Sign in with your service provider


  • Your computer must be connected to the internet to complete the activation process. 
  • If you see a message that says “No License Available”, it is likely that the subscription in your account has expired or you have signed into an account without a valid subscription.
  • To activate your Norton Utilities product, read Activate Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate.
