Why am I receiving more than one alert for the same application?

You may be notified multiple times for the same activity, once when the application is submitted and then again when it is reported to each of the three national credit bureaus. When you apply for credit not all companies report to each credit bureau at the same time and they may not report to all three bureaus. Activity may show on different LifeLock data sources, triggering additional alerts. LifeLock has multiple data sources and different activities can generate multiple alerts.

In some cases a company may submit your information to find you the best rates on an application. For example, when shopping for an auto or mortgage quote, the companies may reach out to multiple lenders simultaneously.
