HP Support Assistant reports that Network Firewall and Virus protection are turned off

This problem may occur when HP Support Assistant and Windows Action Center cannot recognize the protection status, and report it incorrectly on your computer. Check the Security status of your Norton product to ensure that your computer is protected.

Check the Security status of your Norton product

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. In the main window, if you notice a green check-mark on the Security tile, your computer is protected.

    You will notice a red At Risk tile, if any component of the Computer or Network Protection is turned off on your Norton product.
