Message: "You already have Identity Safe..."

This message indicates that you already have Norton Identity Safe installed on your computer. Identity Safe is a feature of Norton Internet Security, Norton 360, and Norton Security. If you have installed one of these Norton products on your computer, you already have Identity Safe.

To start using Identity Safe, you may need to configure it on your web browser and Norton product.

Set up Identity Safe

  1. Start your Norton product.

    If you have installed Norton Identity Safe, skip to Step 5.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Under Detailed Settings, click Identity Safety.

  4. Next to Identity Safe, click Configure.

  5. In the Sign in or create account window, enter your email address to sign into your Norton account or to create a new Norton account and click Next.

  6. If you already have a Norton account, then enter your account password and click Sign In. Enter your Vault password and access your Identity Safe Vault.

    If you do not have a Norton account, skip to Step 7.

  7. In the Create your Norton account window, in the Password box, type your new password.

    Click Agree & Sign Up.

  8. In the New Vault creation: Vault password window, type a password for your vault, and click Next.

    Your Vault password must be different from your Norton account password.

  9. In the New Vault creation: confirm password window, type the password again to confirm it, and click Next.

  10. In the New Vault creation: password hint window, type a hint for the password, and click Next.

  11. In the Setup complete window, click Finish.

    The Identity Safe vault is now created. You can create your logins or import from a previously exported vault file.
