I cannot connect to secure websites after I upgrade Norton AntiVirus

You may experience problems while accessing the secure (HTTPS) websites after you upgrade from Norton AntiVirus to either Norton Internet Security or Norton 360. To see if the webpage that you try to access is a secure webpage, check the URL displayed in the browser address bar. If the URL precedes with HTTPS, then you are accessing a secure webpage.

A patch has been released to resolve this issue. To receive this patch, run LiveUpdate manually.

These steps are for the current version of the Norton products. If you have an older version or if you do not know your product version, go to Norton Update Center.

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. In the main window, click Security, and then click LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

  5. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
