How do I configure Scheduler settings?

You can use the Scheduler Settings window to configure the schedule for various features of Norton Utilities.

To configure Scheduler settings

  1. In the Norton Utilities main window, select the Settings tab.

  2. In the Settings window, select Scheduler from the left panel.

  3. Under Scheduler Settings, check the Enable scheduled scan check box.

    The following options are enabled only when you select Enable scheduled scan check box.

  4. Click Edit Schedule link.

  5. In the Task Scheduler window, select the schedule.

    Your options are:

    • Run on Startup: This option runs the scan every time you start up your machine and is selected by default.

    • Daily: This option lets you select the time of day which you want the scan to be performed.

    • Weekly: This option lets you select the day as well as the time you want the scan to be performed.

  6. Make changes and click OK.

  7. Under Scheduler Settings, in the Enabled features section, move the On/Off switch to turn on the following scans that you want to run during the scheduled task:

    • Registry Scan and Clean

    • Privacy Scan and Clean

    • Defrag Boot Disk - By default this option is turned off.

    You must select at least one feature to run the scan.

  8. Click Save to change your settings.

Scheduled scans do not run, if you are not logged into your account or your system is in hibernation mode.
