How do I clear and manage third-party software traces?

This section lets you clean the history information contained by any third party software you may have installed on your system.

To clear your third-party software traces

  1. In the Norton Utilities main window, select the Privacy tab.

  2. In the Privacy Home window, under Select your action, click Clean Your Third Party Software Traces.

    The Plug-Ins category is automatically selected in the left panel.

  3. In Privacy Scan and Clean window, in the Third Party Application Plug-Ins row, move the On/Off switch to the left to the On position to enable the Third Party Application Plug-Ins feature.

  4. Review your third party software list and uncheck the software that you do not want to clean.

  5. Select the third party software to clean.

  6. Click Save Choices to confirm your selection. This action is required if you have made any changes to the default selection.

  7. Click Clean Plug-ins to clear their history.

When you click Clean All, Norton Utilities runs a full privacy scan including the Browsers, Plug-ins, and Free Space (if enabled) sections.
