  • Temporary Files Directory

  • Recycle Bin

To clear Windows History

  1. In the Norton Utilities main window, select the Privacy tab.

The Windows category is automatically highlighted in the left panel.

  3. In Privacy Scan and Clean window, in the Clean Windows Settings row, move the On/Off switch to the right to the On position to enable the Clean Windows Settings feature. A list of different items is displayed along with a brief description of each item. A default selection is enabled.

Document History option is not enabled in the default selection.

  4. In the Item Name column, check or uncheck the items from the list to clear their history.

  5. Click Save Choices to confirm your selection.

This action is required if you have made any changes to the default selection.

  6. Click Clean Windows to clear history from all the listed items.

Clicking Clean All runs a full privacy scan including the Browsers, Plug-ins, and Free Space (if enabled) sections.

As the privacy cleaning begins, the progress bar indicates the extent and areas of cleaning. After cleaning is complete, the Privacy Scan Results are displayed listing the Total Number of Sections cleaned, Total Number of Items cleaned and the disk space recovered.
