Configure Call Blocking in Norton Mobile Security

Call Blocking feature of Norton Mobile Security helps you block unwanted calls from specific numbers. You can also block the unknown callers and all the calls originating from a specific country.

Call Blocking feature is available only on Android phones. SMS or Text Blocking is not supported on Android 4.4 or later.

Manage Block List

  1. From the Home screen, launch the Norton Mobile Security app.

  2. Swipe through the screens to reach the Device screen.

  3. Tap Call Blocking.

  4. On the Block List tab, you can perform the following tasks to manage the Block List:

    • Block a contact from call logs or contacts: Tap the add icon , and select a contact from the Call Log or Contacts list. Tap OK to confirm.

      You may also select Also remove from contacts? to remove it.

    • Add a new contact to the block list: On the New tab, type the contact number and the name, and then tap Block This Number. Tap OK to confirm.

    • Block all the calls originating from a specific country: On the New tab, under Block a country, select the country and the country code from the drop-down, and then tap Block This Country. Tap OK to confirm.

    • Edit a contact: On the Block List tab, tap a contact to change the name or the number, and then tap Save.

    • Remove a specific contact from the Block List: In the Block List, hold and swipe the contact that you want to remove towards left to view the trash icon. Tap the Trash icon to delete it.

    • Remove all the contacts from the Block List: Tap Clear Block List at the bottom of the screen, and then tap OK to confirm.

Configure Call Blocking settings

  1. From the Home screen, launch the Norton Mobile Security app.

  2. Swipe through the screens to reach the Device screen.

  3. Tap Call Blocking.

  4. On the Settings tab, under Block, do the following:

    • To block all the unknown callers, select Unknown numbers.

    • To block all the callers that are not in your contact list, select Numbers not in contacts.

  5. To configure the notifications, on the Settings tab, under Prompt me, select the following depending on your requirements:

    • When I frequently decline a number not in contacts

    • After a number not in contacts
