Message: "You cannot install any more of your Norton security products on this device" when I remove and reinstall Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac through Norton One website

To fix this problem, manually remove and reinstall Norton Internet Security from your Mac.

STEP 1

Uninstall Norton Internet Security

  1. From the menu bar, click Go > Applications.

  2. In the Applications folder, open the Symantec Solutions folder, and then double-click Symantec Uninstaller.

  3. In the Uninstall Symantec Products window, check Norton AntiVirus Application, Norton Firewall, Norton Internet Security and Norton Identity, and then click Uninstall.

  4. In the Confirm window, click Uninstall.

  5. In the uninstaller window that displays the list of deleted items, click Close.

  6. Click Restart.

STEP 2

Install Norton Internet Security

  1. Go to the Norton One home page.

  2. Click Sign In.

  3. Type your email address and password, and then click Sign In.

  4. In the Norton One home page, click My Devices.

  5. In the My Devices page, under your Mac system, click Install Products.

  6. In the Available Norton Products window, next to Norton Internet Security, click Install Now.

  7. Download and save the installation file on to your desktop.

  8. When the download finishes, double-click the file that you downloaded.

  9. Double-click Norton Internet Security Installer.

  10. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Norton Internet Security.
