Installing Norton Anti-Theft agent on Mac

Norton Anti-Theft uses the Norton Anti-Theft agent to help you protect your device. You must install the Norton Anti-Theft agent on every device that you want to protect. You can download the Norton Anti-Theft agent from the Norton Anti-Theft website and install it on your device.

Download and install Norton Anti-Theft

  1. Sign in to the Norton Anti-Theft website using your email address and password.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To add a device for the first time, under Setting up Anti-Theft, click Download for Mac.

    • If you already added a device, click Add Device, and then click Download for Mac.

  3. Double-click the file that your downloaded.

    The Norton Anti-Theft disk image is mounted automatically.

  4. Browse the disk image contents, and double-click the Norton Anti-Theft Installer.

  5. In the Welcome window, click Continue.

  6. Go through the Read Me info, and then click Continue.

  7. Read the Software license agreement, and then click Continue.

  8. Click Agree to accept the license agreement.

  9. Click Install.

    If you want to change the default install location, click Change Install Location, select a destination, and then click Continue.

  10. Type your administrator user name and password, and then click OK.

  11. Click Continue Installation.

  12. Type your Norton account email address and password. Type a device name, and then click Continue.

  13. Click Done.
