Message: "Uninstall not successful" when I uninstall Norton Anti-Theft on my Android device

Before you uninstall Norton Anti-Theft, you need to disable the Device administrator rights for Norton Anti-Theft.

STEP 1

Disable Norton Anti-Theft as Device administrator

  1. From the Home screen, go to Settings.

    Location & security.

  2. Depending on the version of your Android OS, do one of the following:

    • For Android OS 4.x, tap Security, and then tap Device administrators.

    • For Android OS 3.x or earlier, tap Locations & security, and then tap Select device administrators.

  3. Tap Norton Anti-Theft.

  4. Tap Deactivate.

STEP 2

Uninstall Norton Anti-Theft

  1. From the Home screen, go to Settings > Applications.

  2. Tap Manage applications.

  3. From the list of applications, select Norton Anti-Theft, and then tap Uninstall.

  4. Tap OK when the uninstall is finished.
