To fix this problem, run LiveUpdate again. If the problem continues, uninstall and reinstall your Norton product.
These steps are for the current version of the Norton products. If you have an older version or if you do not know your product version, go to Norton Update Center.
Start your Norton product.
In the main window, click, and then click .
When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click.
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."
Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
If you have received your Norton product from your service provider, skip this step, and run the Norton Removal Tool.
Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop.
On the Windows desktop, double-click theicon.
Read the license agreement, and click.
Click, and follow the on-screen instructions.
After the computer restarts, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall your Norton product.
