Importing your Identity Safe data

Import/Export option is available only on Windows.

You can import your Identity Safe data from the file that you previously backed up. You can also import the Identity Safe data from the portable profile that you saved in the older version of Norton Security Products.

You can merge or replace the imported data with the existing Identity Safe data that you stored.

When importing, the file size must not be more than 15 MB for .CSV files and 35 MB for .NPM files.

To import your data

  1. Click the Norton Identity Safe icon on your desktop or taskbar.

  2. If prompted, in the Sign in or create account window, use your Norton account email address and password to log in to Identity Safe.

  3. In the Norton Identity Safe main window, select Settings, click Import/Export tab, and then click Import.

  4. In the Vault Import window, select one of the following options:

    • Merge imported data with existing data

This option merges your imported data with existing data.

    • Replace existing data with imported data

This option replaces existing data with imported data.

  5. Browse and select your backed up data, and click Open. If prompted, type the password for the backed up file.

  6. Click OK.
