Error: "Messages file '*\Norton Utilities 15\unins000.msg' is missing..." when uninstalling Norton Utilities 15.0

To fix this problem, manually remove the files and registry keys of Norton Utilities.

STEP 1

Delete the registry keys of Norton Utilities

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

    regedit

    If the User Account Control window appears, click Yes or Continue.

  3. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following folder:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Symantec

  4. Delete the Norton Utilities 15 folder or the subkey.

  5. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following folder:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Symantec

  6. Delete the Norton Utilities 15 folder or the subkey.

  7. Exit all programs and restart your computer.

STEP 2

Delete Norton Utilities files and folders

  1. Navigate to the following folder:

    C:\Program Files\

  2. Select the following folder, and press Delete.

    Norton Utilities 15

    Norton Utilities 15 is now removed from your computer.
