Norton Power Eraser has detected that your System Restore service is not started

The steps to fix this problem vary depending on your version of Windows.

Start the System Restore service

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

    services.msc

  3. Click OK.

    If the User Account Control window appears, click Yes or Continue.

  4. In the Services window, select the Volume Shadow Copy service.

    On Windows XP: In the Services window, select System Restore Service.

  5. On the top-left corner of the Services (Local) window, click Start the service or Restart the service.

  6. Exit the Services window.
