Error: (8921,254) "Unable to connect to the Norton LiveUpdate server. Please check your Internet connection"

To fix this problem, restart your computer and run LiveUpdate.


Restart your computer

  1. Exit all the programs.

  2. Restart the computer.


Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start Norton.

  2. In the main window, click Security, and then click LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

You may need to run LiveUpdate twice to successfully install the updates.
