Norton from Symantec

Spam emails are not filtered to Norton AntiSpam folder in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express with my Norton product installed

These steps are for the current version of the Norton products. If you have an older version or if you do not know your product version, go to Norton Update Center.

STEP 1

Disable AntiSpam Client Integration

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Depending on your Norton product, do one of the following:

    • For Norton Internet Security: In the Settings window, click Network. In the left pane, click Message Protection. Under AntiSpam, next to Client Integration, click Configure. In the Client Integration window, uncheck Outlook or Outlook Express.

    • For Norton N360: Under Detailed Settings, click AntiSpam. On the Client Integration tab, under Email Clients, click the status indicator next to Outlook or Outlook Express to turn it Off.

  4. Click Apply, and then click OK or Close.

  5. Exit all the programs, and then restart the computer.

STEP 2

Re-enable AntiSpam Client Integration

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Depending on your Norton product, do one of the following:

    • For Norton Internet Security: In the Settings window, click Network. In the left pane, click Message Protection. Under AntiSpam, next to Client Integration, click Configure. In the Client Integration window, check Outlook or Outlook Express.

    • For Norton N360: Under Detailed Settings, click AntiSpam. On the Client Integration tab, under Email Clients, click the status indicator next to Outlook or Outlook Express to turn it On.

  4. Click Apply, and then click OK or Close.
