Error: (8921,254) "Unable to connect to the Norton LiveUpdate server. Please check your Internet connection" when I run LiveUpdate in Norton Security Suite or Norton Business Suite

STEP 1

Check the Internet connectivity

  1. Start your web browser.

  2. Try to connect to the following website:

    http://www.symantec.com

  3. If you can connect to the website, go to Step 2.

STEP 2

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Click Tasks.

  3. Under General Tasks, click Run LiveUpdate.

  4. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  5. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product now has the latest protection updates."

  6. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
