Installing the Norton agent on Mac

If you use an older version of Norton product for Mac, Norton uses the Norton agent to monitor and manage the security status of a device. You must install the Norton agent on each of the device that you want to manage using your Norton account.

The Norton agent is not required if you have installed Norton Security on your Mac.

To install the agent, you can sign in to your Norton account and download and install the Norton agent. In addition, if you added your Mac device to Norton and requested for a download link, you can install the Norton agent on other devices from the download link email that you received.

You must have administrator privilege on your device to install the Norton agent.
