Error: "3038,106" appears on my Norton product

STEP 1

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. In the main window, click Security, and then click LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

  5. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.

    If the problem still persists, go to step 2.

STEP 2

Run Full System Scan

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. In the main window, click Security, and then click Scans.

  3. In the Scans window, select Full System Scan and click Go.

  4. When the scan is finished, click Finish.

STEP 3

Disable Compressed File Scan

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Under Detailed Settings, click Antivirus.

  4. On the Scans and Risks tab, if Compressed File Scan shows On, click on the slider to turn it Off.

  5. Click Apply, and then click Close.
