Error: "Unable to Activate. We cannot activate your product at this time..." on Mac

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Before you begin, you must be in the Finder. Click the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock to be in the Finder.

  2. On the menu bar, click Go > Applications.

  3. Open the Symantec Solutions folder.

  4. Double-click LiveUpdate.

    You may also start LiveUpdate by clicking the Norton QuickMenu icon on the menu bar, and then clicking LiveUpdate > Open LiveUpdate.

  5. Click Update Everything Now.

  6. After LiveUpdate finishes the update, the LiveUpdate summary window appears. You may now quit LiveUpdate.

  7. Run LiveUpdate again to ensure that you have all available updates.

  8. When you see a prompt to restart the computer, exit all the programs and restart your computer.

    After you restart the computer, activate your Norton product for Mac.
