Configuring the Application Blocking feature in Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac

Configure the Application Blocking feature

  1. Start Norton Internet Security.

  2. In the Norton Internet Security window, click Firewall.

  3. In the left pane, click Firewall.

  4. Under Application Blocking, click Configure.

    If you see a prompt, type your administrator password, and then click OK.

    The Application Blocking window lists the applications and the connection setting corresponding to each application.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • To remove an application from the Application Blocking list, select the application, and then click Remove.

    • To manually add and configure an application's connection settings, click Add Application. Select the application, and then choose the connection settings to allow or block.

    • To edit the Application Blocking settings for an application, select the application and then under Setting, click allow or block to change the settings.

  6. Click Done.
