Norton from Symantec

Error: "3039,65555" appears on my Norton product

STEP 1

Uninstall the non-Symantec security product

    This problem can happen due to conflict with a non-symantec security product installed on the computer. If you do not have any non-symantec security product, you can skip this step.

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select the non-Symantec security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.

    If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Exit all programs, and restart the computer.

    If the problem persists, go to Step 2.

STEP 2

Register the msxml4.dll file

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:

    regsvr32 %windir%\system32\msxml4.dll

  3. Click OK.

  4. Depending on the message that you see, do one of the following:

    • If you see the message "LoadLibrary("C:\Windows\system32\msxml4.dll") failed...", go to Step 3.

    • If you see the message "DllRegisterSever in C:\Windows\system32\msxml4.dll succeeded", you have successfully registered the msxml4.dll file.

STEP 3

Reinstall MSXML 4.0
