To fix this problem, remove any third-party software and then run LiveUpdate until no more updates are available for your Norton product.
Press the+ keys to open the Run dialog box.
Type in the following text, and then press.
In the list of currently installed programs, select the non-Symantec security product, and then clickor .
Follow the on-screen instructions.
When the uninstall process completes, restart the computer.
Start your Norton product.
Depending on your Norton product, do one of the following:
For Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security: In the main window, click, and click .
For Norton 360 or Norton Security Suite: In the main window, click, and click .
When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, clickor .
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."
Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
