Norton from Symantec

Error: "3035,6" appears on my Norton product

To fix this problem, remove any third-party security software and then run LiveUpdate until no more updates are available for your Norton product.

Uninstall any non-Symantec security product

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select the non-Symantec security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. When the uninstall process completes, restart the computer.

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Depending on your Norton product, do one of the following:

    • For Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security: In the main window, click LiveUpdate, and click Run LiveUpdate.

    • For Norton 360 or Norton Security Suite: In the main window, click Tasks, and click Run LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK or Close.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

  5. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
