Message: "There is no phone associated with this account" when I download Norton Mobile Security from Google Play

This problem can occur if you have not logged into Google Play with your primary Google account associated with your device. To fix this problem, clear the Google Play app cache.

Clear Google Play app cache

  1. From the Home screen, go to Settings.

  2. Depending on the version of Android OS, do one of the following:

    • For Android OS 4.3.x or later: In the Settings menu, tap More and then tap Applications Manager.

For Nexus devices, in the Settings menu, tap Apps.

    • For Android OS 4.0 - 4.2.x: Tap Applications Manager.

    • For Android OS 3.x or earlier: Tap Application, and then tap Manage Applications.

  3. Tap Manage applications.

  4. From the list of applications, tap Google Play Store.

If Google Play Store is not listed, swipe to your left and select the All tab. From the list of apps, tap Google Play Store.

  5. Tap Clear cache or Clear data.

If Clear data or Clear cache button is grayed out, tap Force Stop to stop the service.

  6. Exit Application Settings.

  7. Launch the Google Play Store app and login using your primary Google account that is associated with your device.
