About the Norton Anti-Theft website

Norton Anti-Theft lets you manage the protection of your device. It helps you track your device when it is lost or stolen. To use Norton Anti-Theft, you must first register for a Norton Anti-Theft account. If you already have a Norton Account, you can use your Norton Account login credentials to sign in to the Norton Anti-Theft website.

You can use the following options in the Norton Anti-Theft website:

Find Device

Lets you view the location details of your device.

Norton Anti-Theft displays the last 10 locations of your device on a map.

You can view the following:

  • Where is it?

Approximate address and the geographical location where you can find your device.

  • When?

The duration from the date and time on which the geographical location of your device was reported last.

If the address that Norton Anti-Theft displays is incorrect, you can use the Click here option to update your address.

You can use the Lock Device option to lock or disable your device. When you lock your device, Norton Anti-Theft changes your device status to lost mode.

The Disable Device option is available only with the computers that have Intel Anti-theft chipset.

In lost mode, Norton Anti-Theft does the following simultaneously:

  • Locks your device to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information.

  • Monitors your device location every five minutes, thereby tracking your device with a higher degree of accuracy.

  • Starts automatically taking pictures from your device.

You can use the Found it option to report your device as found and revert to normal mode. When you report your device as found, Norton Anti-Theft does the following simultaneously:

  • Continues to monitor your device location, but less frequently.

  • Stops automatically taking pictures from your device. However, you can still use the Take a Picture option to take pictures on demand.

  • Unlocks your device.

The Found It option appears only when you have locked the device.

Sneak Peek

Lets you view the captured pictures.

When you lock your device, Norton Anti-Theft starts automatically capturing pictures from your device every 10 minutes. In normal mode, when your device is not reported as lost or stolen, you can use the Take a Picture option to take pictures on demand.

You can capture pictures only for a device that is enabled with a webcam.
