How to configure multiple pcAnywhere hosts behind a router

To access different pcAnywhere hosts that are behind a router, you must configure each pcAnywhere host to use a different set of TCP/IP ports and configure the router to open those ports. You can configure the TCP/IP ports either on the host or remote computer.

Change the TCP/IP ports on the host computer

  1. Start pcAnywhere Manager.

  2. Click Edit > Preferences or click Tools > Options.

  3. On the Host Communications tab, click Advanced TCP/IP Options.

  4. Change the Data port (TCP) and Status port (UDP) to the ports that you want pcAnywhere to use.

  5. Click OK, and click OK again.

Change the TCP/IP ports on the remote computer

  1. Start pcAnywhere Manager.

  2. Click Remotes.

  3. Right-click the remote control item that needs different TCP/IP ports, and then click Properties.

  4. Ensure that TCP/IP are checked in the connection items list, and then click Details.

  5. Change the Data port (TCP) and Status port (UDP) to the ports that you want pcAnywhere to use.

  6. Click OK, and click OK again.
