Collect debug logs for Norton Mobile Security

Now you can collect the Norton Mobile Security logs from within the app and submit them to Norton Support.

Logging feature is available only in Norton Mobile Security 3.14 or later on Android. Make sure that you have the latest version of Norton Mobile Security installed.

Collect debug logs for Norton Mobile Security

  1. From the Home screen, launch Norton Mobile Security.

  2. In the top-left corner, tap the menu icon , and then tap App Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Logging section, and then tap Enable Debug Log.

  4. Reproduce the problem with Norton Mobile Security that you want to report to Norton Support.

    For some problems, you may need to keep the Logging feature enabled until the problem gets reproduced (hours, days, or sometimes weeks).

  5. Once the problem is reproduced, repeat line 1 through 3 to go to App Settings.

  6. Scroll down to the Logging section, and then tap Send Error Report With Log Files.

  7. Type the Support Case ID that you received from Norton Support. Type a brief description of your problem, and then in the top-right corner, tap the arrow icon .

  8. Select your email application.

  9. Add any comments that may help, such as steps to reproduce the problem, information on when exactly the problem occurs, etc. and then send the email.

  10. Make a note of the date, time, and email address that was used to send the error report.

Collect crash logs for Norton Mobile Security

  1. If you receive a message from Android stating that "Unfortunately, Norton Mobile Security has stopped.", tap Report to submit a crash log.

  2. Make a note of the date and time when you send the crash report.
