Norton AntiSpam toolbar is not displayed in my email client after I install my Norton product

If you do not see the Norton AntiSpam toolbar in your email client, you need to make sure that your email client is compatible with Norton AntiSpam.

Norton AntiSpam compatibility with email clients

    • Microsoft Outlook: Outlook 2003 and later

    • Outlook Express: Norton AntiSpam is not supported in Outlook Express

    • Windows Mail: Norton AntiSpam is compatible with Windows Mail on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

The [Norton AntiSpam] tag is added for spam mails, but Norton AntiSpam toolbar is not present. You need to add a rule in Windows Mail to move the mail to Junk folder.

    Supported Protocols and Ports:

    • Only POP3 protocol is supported.

    • POP3 with SSL is not supported.

    • IMAP & Exchange accounts are not supported.

    • If email client is configured in ports other than default ports 110, then the new port needs to be added to protected ports.

Add a port to the protected port list

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Under Detailed Settings, click AntiSpam.

  4. On the Filter tab, next to Protected Ports, click Configure.

  5. Click Add.

  6. In Add Port to protect window, select the Port Type and type in the Port number. Click OK.

  7. Click Apply and then click OK.
