Error: "Backup failed (A2230)" when I back up my files using Norton Online Backup

To fix this problem, remove your computer from Norton Online Backup and add it again.

STEP 1

Remove your computer from Norton Online Backup

    Removing a computer from the online account deletes all the backed-up files from that computer and also deletes the backup set.

  1. Sign in to the Norton Online Backup website using your email address and password.

  2. Click Remove Computer.

  3. Next to the computer icon that you want to remove, click Remove.

  4. Click OK to confirm.

STEP 2

Add your computer again to Norton Online Backup

    Make sure that you are logged in from the same computer that you want to add to your Norton Online Backup account.

  1. Sign in to the Norton Online Backup website using your email address and password.

  2. Click Add Computer.

  3. Check I have read and agree with the Terms of Service, and then click Start Download.

  4. Double-click the file that you downloaded.

    If you see a Security warning, click Run.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

    After you complete the installation, backup your files.
