Message: "Driver is not installed properly. Please try to reinstall application..." when running Real-time defrag in Norton Utilities 15.0

STEP 1

Uninstall Norton Utilities

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    Appwiz.cpl

  3. From the list of applications, select Norton Utilities, and then click Uninstall.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. After the uninstall is complete, open Windows Explorer and browse to the following location:

    C:\Program Files\

  6. Delete the Norton Utilities 15.0 folder if it is present.

STEP 2

Reinstall Norton Utilities

  1. Do one of the following:

    • If you have the product on a CD, insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive, and then click Install Norton Utilities.

    • If you have downloaded the product, find the product installation file, and then double-click the installation file.

      Unless you saved it elsewhere, it is on your Windows desktop.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Read the License Agreement, and then click I accept the agreement.

    You cannot proceed the installation without accepting the License Agreement.

  4. Click Next.

    Follow the on-screen instructions.
