About the security status indicators on the Devices page

If your device has a Norton service installed, you can remotely view the status of your device from your Norton account. The color of the status icon indicates the current state of your device.

The security status indicators vary for different devices. For example, Android devices do not show the same security status indicators that Norton displays for Windows and Mac devices.

The following are the different statuses that Norton displays for each of your devices:

Red cross (x) icon

Indicates that your device does not have any Norton service installed or is unprotected. You can click the Get Norton or Download Norton option to take steps to protecting your device.

Orange exclamation mark icon

Indicates that your device is at risk.

You have the following statuses:

  • Computer Protection at Risk indicates that there are security issues to your computer protection that require immediate resolution. Click Fix Now to resolve the security threats on your computer.

  • Network Protection at Risk indicates that your network protection requires immediate resolution. Click Fix Now to resolve.

  • Web Protection at Risk indicates your network protection requires immediate resolution. Click Fix Now to resolve.

The orange exclamation mark icon also appears if you have not run a scan or LiveUpdate on your device. If the issue persists, the status changes to red cross (x) icon.

Green check mark icon

Indicates that your Norton security product is installed and protecting your device from security threats and viruses.
