About your Norton account

Norton lets you manage all of your Norton services and product keys from one location. When you make a purchase from the Norton Online Store or when you activate your subscription, Norton prompts you to create a Norton account. All you have to provide is your email address and set a password.

You need to have a Norton security client that is downloaded and installed from your Norton account to manage your device and service from your Norton account.

After your Norton account gets activated, you can do the following using your Norton account:

  • Install a Norton service on a device.

  • View Norton services that are installed on a device.

  • View the security status of a device.

  • Purchase a new product key.

  • Renew your Norton subscription.

  • Remove a device from your Norton account.

  • Uninstall a Norton service from a device.

  • Activate your service using another product key.

  • Upgrade your Norton services to the latest available version.

  • Update your billing information.

  • Manage your account information.

  • Set up email notifications.

The features that are listed vary for different Norton services and devices.

If you have installed Norton Internet Security 5.x or Norton AntiVirus 12.x on your Mac device, you need upgrade to Norton Security for Mac.
