Use Norton Utilities to defragment Windows Registry

Defragment Windows Registry

    Before you start the defragmentation of Windows Registry, exit all programs.

  1. Start Norton Utilities.

    If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

  2. In the right pane, click Defragment Your Registry.

  3. If you want to create a System Restore Point, check Create System Restore Point.

  4. Click Yes to start the Registry defragmentation.

    Norton Utilities analyzes the Windows registry and shows the compacting result.

  5. Click Compact Now.

  6. Click Restart.

    Your computer restarts to finalize the Registry defragmentation.
