Install Norton product from the service provider

Some Norton products that come from a Service Provider can be installed on more than one computer at a time. You can also purchase additional licenses if needed or transfer a license from one computer to another.

If you have received Norton from Comcast, read Download and Install the latest version of Norton Security Suite.

Download and install Norton using Service Provider website

  1. Sign in to your Service Provider website and navigate to where you downloaded and installed your Norton product from originally.

  2. Download and install Norton on the new computer.

  3. In the main screen, click Activate, or Sign Up Now.

  4. Click Next.

  5. If you see a prompt, in the My Service PIN field, type in the PIN number that is provided to you by your Service Provider. Please note that for most current activation flows, the PIN activation will be automatic and you won't be prompted to manually enter the PIN.

  6. If you see a prompt, enter a computer name.

  7. Click Activate. If you have a license available, the product is activated.

  8. If your product licenses are used, then you see the options to either purchase another license or transfer a license.

    The screens might look different depending on what Norton product you are currently using.

    For legacy products, the license transfer flow is pictured below:

    Do one of the following:

    • To purchase a new license: Under "Option 1: Purchase Another License", click the link and follow the on-screen instructions.

    • To transfer a license from a registered computer to this new computer: Under "Option 2: Transfer a License", find the name of the computer from where you want to transfer the license, and then click Deactivate.

Transfer your license

    If you have installed your product on a device you are no longer using, you might be able to transfer license to a new device.

  • Follow the on-screen instruction to transfer your license.

Download and install Norton using Norton account

  1. Log in to your service provider website or locate the email that you were sent when you subscribed to the Norton service.

  2. Sign in to your Norton account.

    If you do not have a Norton account, then you will need to go to your Service Provider website to download the Norton product.

  3. Click Download Norton.

    If you have not registered your Norton product already, click I have a pin and enter the Pin provided by your service provider and click >.

  4. In the Install on this device window, click Agree & Download.

  5. Click Save or Save File.

  6. Do one of the following depending on your browser:

    • For Internet Explorer: Click Run.

    • For Firefox or Safari: On the top-right corner of the browser, click the Download option to view the downloaded files, and click the file that you downloaded.

    • For Chrome: On the bottom-left corner, click the file that you downloaded.

    Follow the on-screen instructions.
