Manage your financial information with Card Exposure Control

Card Exposure Control scans your recent purchases to find merchants that may be storing your payment info, highlights potential risk, and helps you remove your data. This feature helps you manage your online privacy by giving you control over your financial data.

Before you start

To use Card Exposure Control, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • You have an active subscription that includes Card Exposure Control.
  • You have at least one credit or debit card connected under Financial Monitoring in your account.
  • You have an active internet connection to access your account.

Access Card Exposure Control

Access Card Exposure Control from your account to view your financial information stored by merchants.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Financial Monitoring tab.
  3. The Card Exposure Control section appears on the page.

You have now accessed Card Exposure Control and can begin managing your stored financial details.

Trust a Merchant

If Card Exposure Control identifies a merchant storing your financial details, you can mark that merchant as "trusted" within your account.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Financial Monitoring tab.
  3. Click View all merchants within the Card Exposure Control section.
  4. Locate the merchant you want to trust and click See details next to its entry.
  5. Click Trust this merchant in the upper-right corner of the merchant details page.

You have successfully marked the merchant as trusted, indicating you are comfortable with them storing your financial information.

Remove Credit Card Details

Card Exposure Control helps you remove your stored financial information from merchants. Initiate this process directly through your account.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Financial Monitoring tab.
  3. Click View all merchants within the Card Exposure Control section.
  4. Locate the merchant from which you want to remove your credit card details and click See details next to its entry.
  5. On the merchant details page, choose one of the following options to initiate data removal:
    • View privacy policy: This option opens the merchant's website. You might need to log in or provide additional information to submit your data removal request directly.
    • Get started: This option sends an email to the merchant, requesting that they remove your information.
  6. After you submit your removal request, monitor your email for a response from the merchant.
  7. The merchant's entry moves to the Removals requested box.

You have successfully initiated the process to remove your credit card details from the selected merchant.
