Managing Norton mobile app notifications on Android and iOS

You can control how Norton mobile apps (such as Norton 360) notify you on your Android or iOS device. If you find the alerts too frequent or too loud, you can mute them temporarily, make them silent, or turn them off completely, directly from a Norton notification.

Important: Norton recommends that you do not turn off all security-related notifications, because you may miss important alerts about threats or issues on your device.

Android

  1. When the Norton 360 notification appears, swipe down from the top of the screen to fully reveal it (if it isn’t already expanded).

  2. Tap and hold the Norton 360 notification until a small options panel or settings card appears.

  3. In the panel, do one of the following based on your requirements:

    • Tap Silent or Deliver quietly to keep and suppress the alert.

    • Tap Mute or Snooze to suppress the alert for the duration that you specify.

    • Tap Turn off notifications to turn off the Norton 360 app notifications completely.

    • Tap the gear icon or More settings to configure the Norton 360 app notification settings. In Norton 360 notification settings, you can turn off specific Norton 360 notifications or suppress particular notifications permanently.

iOS

  1. When the Norton 360 notification appears, swipe down from the top of the screen to fully reveal it (if it isn’t already expanded).

  2. Tap and hold the Norton 360 notification until it expands into a larger preview.

  3. In the expanded view, tap the three dots (•••) or Options button at the top‑right of that notification.

  4. Under the Manage Notifications menu for the Norton app, you can choose one of the following based on your requirements:

    • Mute for 1 Hour – silences Norton 360 for the next hour.

    • Mute for Today – silences Norton 360 for the rest of the day.

    • Turn Off All Notifications (or Turn Off) – completely disables Norton 360 notifications.

  5. You may also see View Settings, which takes you to Settings > Notifications > Norton 360 for more granular control, and you can choose one of the following:

    • For a soft mute, select Mute for 1 Hour or Mute for Today.

    • To suppress the alert completely, select Turn Off All Notifications.
