The Shortcut app on your iOS device lets you quickly start a scam check using your voice. After you set up Siri and add the shortcut to Siri from the Norton 360 app, say Hey Siri, is this a scam? to automatically start a scam check through Norton Genie AI Assistant.
Set up Siri
Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
Tap Siri (or Apple Intelligence & Siri), then tap Talk to Siri.
Select Hey Siri, tap Enable Siri, and tap Continue.
Your device listens for Hey Siri at the beginning of requests. Tap Done.
To activate Siri with the side button, move the slider next to Press Side Button for Siri to turn on this option.
Add Norton Genie AI-powered assistant with the Shortcut app
Open the Norton device security app.
On the main screen, tap Genie Scam Protection.
During the conversation in the Ask Genie text field, tap Add to Siri if you see it (you will need to enter at least three questions before this option shows up).
In the Is this a scam? screen, tap Add Shortcut, then tap Always Allow.
You have added Norton Genie to the Shortcut app. Now, say Hey Siri, is this a scam? to start a scam check. Tap Always Allow, if prompted.
You have successfully set up the Siri shortcut for Norton Genie. You can now easily check for scams using voice commands.
