If you have not granted the Norton 360 app sufficient location permissions in your Android device settings, Norton 360 may show a persistent Wi-Fi Security Setup or New Network Detected alert.
To resolve the issue, follow the instructions in each of the sections below:
Update the Norton 360 app to the latest version via the Google Play Store.
Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
In the search box, type Norton 360 and tap the search icon.
Update the app if the page shows an Update button.
If the Norton 360 app is already up to date, continue following the instructions in the Enable location permissions section below.
Navigate to the Norton 360 app and check if the alert has disappeared. If the alert is still present, try setting up Wi-Fi security by clicking the Setup button. If the problem persists, continue following the instructions below.
Enable the location permissions in your Android settings.
Navigate to your Android device settings and search for the Norton 360 app. You may find it under the Apps section.
Tap on the Norton 360 app to access its app info.
Find the Permissions section and tap on it.
Tap on the Location permission and select or enable Allow all the time, and User precise location.
Navigate back to the Norton 360 app and check if the alert disappears after you try to set up the Wi-Fi Security feature or connect to your home Wi-Fi network. If the issue persists, contact Norton Support .
