Troubleshooting sign-in loop issues when accessing your Norton account

In some cases, you may try to sign in to your account but get redirected back to the sign-in screen instead of your Norton account dashboard. This can happen for several reasons, often related to your browser settings, cookies, or extensions.

This article provides step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue.

Check your device’s date and time

Having the incorrect date and time can stop secure sign-in tokens from working.

  1. On your computer or phone, open the date and time settings.
  2. Ensure the settings are set to update automatically.
  3. Try signing into your Norton account again.
  4. If you still experience the sign-in loop issue, continue following the instructions below.

Try a different browser or private window

The problem may be specific to your current browser.

  1. Open an incognito/private window or a different browser (for example, Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Try signing in to your Norton account in a new window and/or browser.
  3. If you still experience the sign-in loop issue, continue following the instructions below.

Disable browser extensions temporarily

Browser extensions like ad blockers or privacy tools may block cookies needed for login.

  1. Go to extensions or add-ons in your browser.
  2. Turn them off one by one.
  3. After each, try signing in to your Norton account again.
  4. If you still experience the sign-in loop issue, continue following the instructions below.

Restart your device and network

A quick restart often clears temporary issues.

  1. Restart your computer or mobile device.
  2. If possible, restart your Wi-Fi router
  3. Try signing in to your Norton account again.
  4. If you still experience the sign-in loop issue, continue following the instructions below.

Clear your browser’s cache and cookies

Sometimes, saved data can cause conflicts.

Clearing cookies and cache may sign you out of other websites and remove saved settings. Ensure you are OK with this before proceeding.

  1. Open your browser settings and find Delete browsing data.
  2. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  3. Confirm the changes and restart your browser.
  4. Try signing into your Norton account again.

If you have tried everything above and still cannot sign in, contact Norton Support.
