Creating a screenshot for Norton support
A screenshot is a picture of a device screen that you capture using buttons on the device itself. For troubleshooting purposes, a Norton Support representative may ask you to send a screenshot of a problem or issue on your device. To learn how to take a screenshot on your device, follow the instructions in the next section of this article.
Windows
- Navigate to the area of the app you want to capture.
- Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. In some cases, you may need to select a specific area to capture by clicking and dragging the selection grid with your cursor.
- Open the Windows search box by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard or by opening the Windows Start menu in your Taskbar.
- Type Paint into the Windows search box, then select it from the menu to open MS Paint.
The appearance of the Windows search box varies depending on your version of Windows.

- Click File ▸ Save as, select a format and location for saving your image, then click Save.
