If the Norton app is unable to verify your license information while running in the background, it may prompt you to sign in again to the Norton Account.
To resolve the issue, update your Norton app to the latest version, restart your device, and sign in to your Norton app again.
You can update your Norton app to the latest version if you have an active subscription, ensuring you have the most current security features on your device. You must be online to update your Norton app to the latest version.
Windows or Mac
Open your Norton device security product.
On the left pane, click Security.
In the Security window, in the LiveUpdate section, click Open.
In the Norton LiveUpdate window, click Update Now/Check Now.
When Norton LiveUpdate finishes, click Done.
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates".
Exit all programs and restart the computer.
Tap Update Me Now. We will automatically detect your installed Norton application and provide the latest version.
Android
Open the Google Play Store app and search for the Norton app.
Next to the Norton app, tap Update.
You can see the Update option only if a new version of the Norton app is available.
IOS
Open the App Store app.
Tap your profile icon at the top-right corner.
Scroll and search for the Norton app and tap Update corresponding to the Norton app.
You can see the Update option only if a new version of the Norton app is available.
Exit or quit all applications that are running in the background.
Restart your device.
Open the Norton app and sign in using your Norton account credentials.
