Applicable for: Windows
Norton lets you add items in the Real Time Exclusions window. In the Add Item window, you can type the full path of the item that you want to exclude from virus checking. You can also browse to the folder location and select the item. You can also specify whether to include or exclude subfolders when you add folders to the Real Time Exclusions list.
You can assign exclusions to local drives, folders, groups of files, single files, or network drives. You must enter the exact path of the item that you want to add to the exclusion list. If you add a network drive to the exclusion list, make sure that the drive is connected to your computer.
If you move or rename a file or folder that you added to the exclusion list, the exclusion no longer works.
